Why choose Abervet?
Abervet was established 33 years ago by my former boss, Mr. David Wilson. I joined Abervet 18 years ago, 2 years after I qualified from Bristol University Veterinary School in 1994 and I took over as owner and director in April 2015. We pride ourselves on building a close and trusting relationship with our clients, some of which have been with us for over 30 years! I wish to offer existing and new clients a friendly and professional welcome and assure them that, along with my dedicated team, I will continue to provide a conscientious and compassionate service.
“A truly exceptional practice” Mr. Fullerton
Abervet has two practices in Aberdeen, our main surgery being at Nigg Kirk Road and our branch surgery at The Courtyard, Cults. My skilled and loyal team consists of 4 vets (one of which provides acupuncture), 3 qualified nurses and 1 trainee nurse, 3 receptionists and a practice manager.
Our aim is to provide the best quality of care and service that we can to all pets (and their owners) who come to us for either routine healthcare or when sick or injured. Our emphasis is always on compassionate care and we go to great lengths to make our patients and their owners feel welcome and at ease. We encourage social visits at any time!
We are family pet specialists, meaning we provide 24 hour emergency care for dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets and other small furry or feathered animals. None of our vets are specialists in exotics but we can seek advice if necessary, so please feel free to ask.
We are fully RCVS registered and our practices are tier 2 accredited animal nurse training centre. Our high standards have allowed us to attract caring and skilled vets and nurses who wish to work in a friendly, client focussed environment.
We provide a high level of equipment at our Nigg Kirk facility, to provide the best modern treatment for the well-being and comfort of your pet. This includes digital Xray, ultrasound, ECG and in-house laboratory.
To continue to be the local vet of choice based on our care and attention for your pet and our customer specific approach to you.
If your pet requires veterinary care please don’t hesitate to contact us and one of our skilled staff will be happy to be of assistance.
